Moodie Playing Strong For His New Team
Alex Moodie posted 2 wins over the last week including a win over his former team.
His first win came at home against the Moose Jaw Warriors. Moodie turned aside 25 shots for his first win as a member of the Brandon Wheat Kings.
The Wheaties took that game by a score of 4-2.
On Thursday Moodie found himself in a familiar rink as he faced off against his former team, the Saskatoon Blades.
Moodie was able to get the last laugh as the Wheat Kings beat the Blades 5-2.
Moodie was solid again as he made 30 saves, including 14 in the third period for the victory.
Moodie has trained with GDI for over 5 years with 1v1 lessons and the Total GDI Academy.
New Years Eve Battle Between GDI Goalies
Teagan Sacher and Brian Archibald both wanted to head into the new year with a win as the Winnipeg Blues visited the Selkirk Steelers on New Year's Eve.
But when the dust settled it was Sacher and the Selkirk Steelers taking the 3-2 shootout victory over Archibald and the Winnipeg Blues. It took 8 rounds in the shootout to determine the winner.
Sacher earned second star honours as he stopped 41 shots that the Blues fired his way.
Archibald was also busy making 28 saves in the game.
Both Sacher and Archibald have been training with GDI for over 5 years with 1v1 lessons, GDI Summer Camps & the Total GDI Academy.
Mid-Season Tuneup At The Rink
Following the Mid-Season Tuneup in Brandon, GDI hosted a 3 day Mid-Season Tuneup Camp at The Rink.
GDI Mid-Season Tuneup camps are designed to refresh a goaltender's mind and body heading into the second half of the season and playoffs.
Each day featured a different topic allowing the goalies to prepare for the second half of the season. The topics covered were rebound control, net play and ice awareness.
GDI looks forward to continue working with all these goalies in the future.
