GDI Goalie Tanner Douglas found another level of play for the Notre Dame Hounds in the playoffs. Tanner Douglas and the Notre Dame Hounds are off the the Telus Cup Western Regionals after defeating the Tisdale Trojans in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Championship series. Douglas made his playoff debut in the second round against the Regina Pat-Canadians. He was instrumental in the Hounds' sweep of the Pat Canadians. Douglas played all 3 games turning aside 95 of the 98 shots sent his way. After defeating Regina, Douglas and the Hounds were off to Tisdale for a date with the Trojans in the championship series. Douglas appeared in 4 of the 5 games for the Hounds in the final series posting a record of 3-1. In the end, Douglas finished the playoffs with a 6-1 record to go along with a sparkling 1.98 GAA and an impressive .939 Sv%. Douglas also posted one shutout during the playoffs making 40 saves in the semi-finals. Douglas and the Hounds will now head to Saskatoon for the Telus Cup Western Regionals. Joining the Hounds will be the host Saskatoon Contacts, Kenora Thistles and the Winnipeg Wild. GDI Goalies Mitchel Adamyk and Matt Radomsky will be participating with the Winnipeg Wild. The Telus Cup Western Regional will kick off on March 31st.
