Amanda Schubert stood tall for the University of Manitoba Bisons women's hockey team in their first round playoff matchup with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
Amanda Schubert was nothing short of spectacular in what was the longest women's hockey game in Canada West history. Schubert turned aside 66 of the 67 shots sent her way through 8 periods of hockey.
It took until 9:02 of the fifth overtime for the Bisons to slip the puck past the Huskies' goaltender and secure the 2-1 series victory.
In total, Schubert played 139:02 minutes during the game making some key saves throughout regulation and the overtime periods.
Next up for the University of Manitoba is a playoff series with the University of Alberta Golden Bears.
