About Ryan:

Ryan is the co-founder and president of GDI Goaltending and has worked with GDI for more than fourteen years, studying under GDI founder and Columbus Blue Jackets Goaltending Consultant Ian Clark.

Ryan is the Goaltending Coach for the Spokane Chiefs WHL 2011-Present and former Goaltending Coach for the Regina Pats WHL 2007-2011.

Ryan has an overwhelming wealth of coaching experience working with athletes from the beginner level to current NHL stand outs.

From a playing perspective, Ryan played 6 years of Junior hockey, spending time in both the BCHL and WHL. Ryan then went on to play professionally in the ECHL, UHL and AHL.

About Dan:

Dan is the Director of GDI Goaltending and has worked with the company since the opening of The Rink Training Centre in 2009. He is involved with working out of Manitoba at the Training Centre and also conducts Minor Hockey clinics around Western Canada.

Dan is the current Goaltending Coach for the MJHL Steinbach Pistons (2012- Present) and the SJHL Flin Flon Bombers. Dan is also the Goaltending Coach for the RHA Nationals Bantam and Midget CSSHL teams. 

Highlighting past success includes being the Goaltending Coach for the 2013 MJHL Champions and the 2011 Telus Cup National Midget Champions. Dan has had a positive influence on many goaltenders who have proceeded to play Junior through to a Professional level.

About Brett:

Brett is a former WHL goaltender with the Tri-City Americans and Regina Pats. His past playing experience also includes playing in the MJHL for the Winnipeg Blues.

Brett has also competed for a National Midget AAA Championship as a finalist with the Winnipeg Thrashers. He helped lead the team to a 58-2 record.

Brett is the Development Coordinator at GDI and is the current Goaltending Coach of the MBAAA Winnipeg Thrashers. Brett also provides 1v1 instruction at GDI, along with being apart of GDI Regional Development Camps and Clinics throughout the season. He provides a strong technical and psychological perspective on the position, helping each goaltender he instructs reach new heights.

About Dasan:

Dasan grew up in Red Deer Alberta and works with GDI instructing one-on-one training sessions and GDI Minor Hockey Association Clinics. His instruction is very detailed as he looks to manage each goaltenders strengths while touching on the areas that need improvement.

Currently Dasan is playing in the CIS with the University of Maintoba Bisons. At the Midget AAA level he found success with the Optimist Rebels backstopping the team to a Midget AAA – Telus Cup Championship. With the Rebels he was awarded the AMHL Top Goaltender and Playoff MVP, and the Telus Cup Top Goaltender. To follow he went on to play in the AJHL, SJHL, and MJHL were he finished his Junior career with the Winkler Flyers and was the teams recipient of the Coach’s Award, and a nominee for the MJHL’s Top Goaltender.

About Spencer:

Spencer has been a GDI staff member for over five years.

As a Minor Hockey goaltender he played for the Winnipeg Wild where he went on to win the goaltender of the year award in the MBAAA Midget League. He started his junior career with The Moose Jaw Warriors and later went on to play for the Red Deer Rebels. After his time in the WHL he went on to the BCHL and SJHL to finish his Junior career.

As a Head On-Ice Instructor for GDI he pushes goalies to be the best they can be and to perform every rep at 100%.

About Troy:

Troy has worked with GDI over the past three years as a GDI Instructor for both 1v1 Training Sessions and GDI Summer Camps.  

Moving through Minor Hockey he finnished with the Winnipeg Thrashers, where he was awarded the league’s Top Goaltender Award in 2013.  He started his junior career in the MJHL and as a 16 year old secured the final win to send his Dauphin Kings to the RBC Cup. From Dauphin he moved on to also play in the AJHL with the Brooks Bandits and in the MJHL with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines and Winkler Flyers.
 
Troy brings his passion and knowledge to help each goalie he works with to improve and strive for their individual goals.

About Ty:

Ty has been with GDI for over 8 years. He has been involved in various camps in the summer, along with countless 1v1 sessions.
 
As a goaltender he played 4 years for the Prince George Cougars of the WHL and holds all the team records for goaltenders in career wins, saves, minutes played and games played. He will be utilizing his WHL scholarship fund and attending the University of Lethbridge to play for the Pronghorns. 
 
Ty has a strong passion for the game of hockey and enjoys working with young hockey players, especially goalies to progress them in their young careers.

About Nicholas:

Nicholas has been a staff member with GDI for over seven years. His main role within the company involves conducting GDI Minor Hockey Association Clinics and instructing at GDI Specialty Clinics. He is also a main instructor for 1v1 lessons at GDI.

He has a unique ability to build strong relationships with goaltenders and help them to achieve their personal goals. Over the past year he played an integral role in guiding the goaltenders of the Bantam 1 AAA Winnipeg Sharks and the Bantam AA Railcats to strong seasons.

About Ryan:

Ryan has been a part of GDI for over 6 years as a student and instructor. Along with instructing 1v1 lessons, Ryan is a Head On-Ice Instructor for minor hockey clinics and group leader for GDI Summer Camps.

Some career highlights for Ryan include being selected by the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

Ryan brings a calming presence to his lessons helping each goalie focus on the little details of their game.

About Ryan:

Lasse is a head on-ice instructor at GDI.

He grew up in Herning, Denmark where he played minor hockey until moving to
Canada at the age of 16. In Canada he has played for several teams across Canada in both the MJHL and WHL.

Lasse has also performed on the international stage with team Denmark's youth national team. He has played for them consecutively, all the way from their U16-U20 squad.

One of Lasse's most notable achievements was winning promotion to the top division with Danish U18 national team, posting the best SVS% and GAA. Another achievement of his was being part of the Danish World Junior National team at the WJC in Montreal and Toronto in 2016.

He believes a combination of hard work, attention to detail, and fun is the perfect way to achieving and surpassing your goals within the position.

About Amanda :

Amanda started with GDI in 2013 as a Group Leader in GDI Summer Camps. Since then she has worked 1v1 Training Sessions and Minor Hockey Clinics. She has a strong belief instilling a strong work ethic and compete level within each goaltender that she works with while fine tuning strengths and enhancing areas that need improvement.

Amanda was a member of the 2011 year U18 Team Manitoba where she helped capture a bronze medal for the province. She is currently a member of the University of Manitoba Bisons. While pursuing a degree in law she has helped the Bisons to two Canwest silver medals and was awarded the team MVP for the 2015-2016 season.

About Brett:

Brett has been apart of GDI for over 7 years as an instructor in 1v1 Lessons, GDI Clinics and Camps.

The MBAAA Yellowhead Chiefs graduate went on to a succesful Jr. A career making stops in Estevan (SJHL) and Dauphin (MJHL). He compilled over 70 career wins including two Championships, the Turnbull Cup and the Anavet Cup. He was also a member of the 2010 Dauphin Kings who finished second in the nation as a RBC Cup Silver medalist.

Brett's strong junior career led him to Toronto where he played 5 years (2011-2016) with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues (OUA) in the CIS, leading the league in SV% in the 12-13 season and completing a bachelors degree in Kinesiology. 

Brett also had a brief stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs as an emergency backup.

As an instructor, Brett brings the same passion and competitive edge he had while playing into his lessons to facilite the success of the athletes he works with.

About Tyler:

Tyler has been working with GDI for 7 years in a capacity of being an On- Ice Instructor for GDI 1v1 Training Sessions, Summer Camps, and Minor Hockey Association Clinics.

As a goaltender he has played in the WHL with the Regina Pats, leading the team to the Western League finals in 2017. In his Minor Hockey he played with the Winnipeg Wild where helped lead the MBAAA team to a Provincial title in 2014. 

As an Instructor he has a strong technical focus and presents his instruction to each goaltender in a simple manner helping them refine the small details of their personal game.

About Brody:

Brody is a hockey product of the Parkland region coming from Ste. Rose, MB.

Brody began his Junior A hockey career playing for the OCN Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. After a couple seasons in OCN, Brody was traded out west to the British Columba Hockey League. He would finish his Junior career playing for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. 

Brody is a firm believer in a strong work ethic both on and off the ice and will help implement that discipline in each goaltender that he works with.
