Tuesday Mental Training Tip
Start off the season with a confident feeling in your mind and body. Please, do not worry about the expectations… what other people are thinking… what a mistake will do to your position on the team. All of these aspects above are out of your control! If you worry about your ability – try relating back to your strengths! Mentally when we picture and view images/past memories in our mind, such as our strengths, we get a vibe of feeling good about ourselves. This is what you need at the start of the season. Picture how you want your save to be. Try viewing yourself from an image of you in net and through a perspective of seeing you make the saves. Visualize and view your strengths and you will start to perform them!
