Manage Your Mind

This past week I read an article that really opened up my eyes to life after hockey, and brought me back many years ago to when I once stopped playing. A couple things I took from it were: - The mind is more important than the body - Be consumed in your practice and then relax. Don't create a stress around being "perfect", rather feel that you are improving and know that you are on the right path. - We must give our mind a rest from hockey, from being a goalie. Have more than one hobby to enjoy. Be passionate about other sports or other things when away from the game. - Know when to turn it on and then off. Wake up for your day, know your schedule, and when you go to train put all of your passion into it. Then away from the ice and from the gym take some time to rest. When you rest you replenish and recovery both your mind and body.
