James Reimer started the playoffs without a single game of post-season experience. The Toronto Maple Leafs, made sure his first few games offered a rocky start for him. Heading into Game 6 of the Eastern Conference quarter-final with the Boston Bruins on Sunday, Reimer had faced more shots than any goaltender in the first round, and not by a small margin. In total he saw 207 shots through the first five games. Sunday night the Manitoba born netminder went to work again as he made 29 of 30 saves as he held a shutout for the majority of the game until the closing minutes where the Bruins made a push to tie the game. In this one he went on to make yet another series saving stop on Patrice Bergeron who attempted a wraparound around the goal when Reimer was seemingly down and out. Reimer dove across the crease and stymied him with an unorthodox blocker save. The fans in and outside of the Air Canada Centre were on their feet chanting his name immediately after. Game 7 of the series now goes tonight!
