GDI Prairies would like to congratulate Bronson Ammeter for being awarded this past weeks MBAAA Player of the Week Award!

Ammeter has trained with GDI for the past two years, which includes taking part in the Off-Season Total GDI Academy. Two outstanding performances last week have earned Central Plains Capitals’ goaltender Bronson Ammeter Chicken Chef West Division Player of the Week honours. Ammeter faced 34 shots, allowing only one goal in Central Plains’ 11-1 victory over Parkland Rangers Friday, then stopped all but one of the 51 shots he faced in a 2-1 shootout loss to Winnipeg Wild on Saturday. He also stopped 10 of the 12 shooters in the shootout The Starbuck native, whose MJHL rights belong to Waywayseecappo Wolverines, currently boasts a 3.27 goals against average and a save percentage of 915. GDI Prairies would also like to congratulate longtime GDI netminder Tyler Gutenberg for being awarded the MBAAA Goaltender of the Month for October!

Gutty has trained with GDI for the past four plus years. His training regimine included taking part in three GDI Regional Summer Camps out in Regina, taking part in four GDI Prospect Clinics, and taking part in countless personal 1v1 training sessions at the centre.
In a month in which he recorded one shutout and gave up only eight goals, Brandon Wheat Kings’ Tyler Gutenberg has been selected as Century 21 Goaltender of Month for October.
The 16-year-old Gutenberg posted some very impressive statistics, including a 4-1 record, a goals-against-average of 1.49 (fourth best in the league) and a .921 save percentage (fifth best in the league).
