The Steinbach Pistons continue to stay in the hunt for 2nd place. With a match-up against their soon to be first round opponent the Portage Terriers the Pistons came into battle with their mindset on leaving an impression. As Portage went 0 for 11 on the Powerplay due to the strong play by netminder Corey Koop the away team went to work and found a way to take the game over from being up 2-1 and moving it to 4-1 with two back-to-back goals midway through the 3rd period. Coming up the Pistons face Wayway on Sunday and the Portage Terriers face off against the Winnipeg Blues. These two games will decide which of the two teams will take home ice advantage in the first round match up.
