Friday night Spokane Chiefs netminder Eric Williams closed the door on 26 of 29 shots from the Tri-City Americans. In the end Spokane took this one 4-3.
Austin Lotz grabbed two victories over Victoria on the weekend taking them down with 23 stops Friday and 22 stops Saturday.
Also on Saturday longtime GDI Goaltender Ty Edmonds grabbed an 8-3 win with 28 stops against the Kamloops Blazers.
Over the weekend Adam Iwan stopped 30 of 32 as the Virden Oil Capitals went on to win a 3-2 victory over Swan Valley.
Canora born goaltender Zach Rakochy stopped 40 of 45 on route to a 6-5 Double Overtime win against the Portage Terriers. In the opposite end Zac Robidoux stopped 49/55. With the win the Pistons moved on to lead their series 3-2 against the Portage Terriers.
Tyler Brown of the Winnipeg Wild grabbed a shutout in the MBAAA Finals stopping all 31 shots he faced for a 2-0 win Friday night. In the opposing end Mario Petit allowed 2 of the 18 that were sent his way before following up his next performance with 28/29 stops to lead the Selects to a 3-1 victory.
The next game of the MBAAA Finals goes Wednesday night.
