As the season has finished up for many minor hockey players it is now time to look forwarded to preparing for next year!

Brossoit Signs 3 Year Entry Level Contract With Calgary:
CALGARY - The Calgary Flames have signed goaltender Laurent Brossoit to a three-year entry-level contract.
Brossoit was named the CHL goaltender of the week on Tuesday after helping the Edmonton Oil Kings reach the second round of the Western Hockey League playoffs.
He posted a 4-1 record with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 0.76 and save percentage of .968 as the Oil Kings beat the Kootenay Ice in five games in the first round.
The native of Surrey, B.C., finished the WHL regular season third in goals-against average (2.25), sixth in save percentage (.917) and seventh in wins (33) and shutouts (five).
He was selected by the Flames in the sixth round, 164th overall, of the 2011 NHL draft.

GDI Goalie Brian Archibald and the Dauphin Kings Awarded the Sherwood Division Trophy:
Before Game 1 of the MJHL Championship Finals the Dauphin Kings were awarded the Sherwood Division Trophy by MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis.
The Dauphin Kings search for win number two in the Championship Finals tonight as they go into Steinbach with a 1-0 series lead.

GDI 3 Stars Named For The Month of March:
After an outstanding first year play Midget AAA Troy Martyniuk is awarded the GDI 1st Star Award for his performance throughout the year, along with his strong play in the AAA Provincial Championship Finals.
Troy has trained with GDI for the past three years through the Total GDI Academy and year round 1v1 sessions.
Brittni Mowat was awarded the VaAUGHN 2nd Star Award as she defended the Manitoba Midget AAA Provincial Championship for the Pembina Valley Hawks and helped her squad move on to the Western Regionals for the 2nd consecutive year.
Mowat has been with GDI for the past two years and now looks forward to playing at the NCAA level with Bemidji.
Lastly, the VAUGHN 3rd Star award goes out to both WPG Bantam 2 AAA Monarch goaltenders - Patrick Wiens and Bennett Garber. Both goaltenders contributed to the teams City Championship win over the WPG Warriors.
Both goaltenders have been with GDI for the past four years and have trained in one-on-one sessions, Regional Camps, and the Total GDI Academy.
