Kasdorf A Top Prospect For Buffalo
Kasdorf entered Troy, NY, and quickly took over as one of the ECAC’s top goaltenders in his freshmen season. In his first year with the Engineers, Kasdorf posted a 14-5-2 record, with three shutouts, a 1.62 goals against average, and a .935 save percentage. The Winnipeg native carried a surprising RPI team to the second spot in the ECAC standings, but failed to make the tournament after being upset by Brown in the first round of the playoffs. Despite RPI’s early exit, Kasdorf was still honored by being selected as the ECAC’s Rookie of the Year.Honestly, I don’t think that Kasdorf has received the amount of attention that he deserves. When healthy, the Rensselaer goaltender has proven to be one of the strongest netminders in all of college hockey. Having said that, the oncoming season will be extremely important for the 23-year-old. If the Canadian goaltender can put up numbers like he did in his freshman season, he’ll receive a lot more attention from the Sabres. Should Kasdorf completely drop his injury-bug that plagued him last season, then you can expect to see some impressive goaltending between the pipes at the Houston Field House this winter.

Dowhy Attending Canada's National Women's Program Goaltending Camp
GDI Goalie Kerigan Dowhy will be attending Canada’s National Women’s Program Goaltending Camp from June 4th to the 7th.
Fifteen goaltenders have been invited to attend Canada’s National Women’s Program goaltending camp, taking place June 4-7 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary.
The list of invitees includes eight National Women’s Under-18 Team goaltenders, six National Women’s Development Team netminders, along with one National Women’s Team goalie, who will work with several highly-skilled instructors, both on and off the ice, during the four-day camp.
The camp was mandatory for under-18 and development goaltenders, and optional for netminders with Canada’s National Women’s Team.
“We’re looking forward to hosting our country’s top young female goaltenders in Calgary,” said Melody Davidson, Hockey Canada’s general manager of national women’s team programs. “This is a great opportunity for the players to learn from some of the best women’s high performance goaltending coaches in Canada, and it will serve as a final step prior to invitations to our summer camps this August.”
