Hockey Canada released the list of 42 players that have been invited to Hockey Canada's National Women's Under-18 Team selection camp and Shaftesbury is proud to announce that veteran netminder, Kristen Campbell (Brandon, MB), is one of six goaltenders making the cut. The Under-18 Team is the first phase in Canada's Program of Excellence.

Campbell is the only western Canadian goaltender to be named to the roster as three are from Ontario, and the two others hail from the Maritimes. Campbell joins five other Manitoban skaters (two defencemen and three forwards) on the selection camp roster. The selection camp takes place August 7-17, 2014 at the Markin MacPhail Centre at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, AB. Campbell wasn't done there as she was also one of seven players selected to participate in the 2014 IIHF Women's High Performance Camp being held July 12-19, 2014 in Vierumäki, Finland. The camp features 16 countries coming together to help grow the female game globally. For a full write up on the camp CLICK HERE.
