Kim Kobar Verbally Commits to Attend University of Wisconsin-Superior
The MFMHL announced that GDI Goaltender Kimberly KObar of the Norman Wild has verbally committed to attend school and play hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets commencing in 2013-14 season. The University of Wisconsin-Superior is located in Superior, Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior and has an enrollment of 4000 students. The Yellowjackets play in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association and are currently ranked 9th in NCAA Division II-III. Kobar hails from The Pas, Manitoba where she is an honor roll student at Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute and plans on majoring in Science when in university. Kobar is in her 4th year with the Wild and faces an average of close to 50 shots per game and has maintained a .911 Save % this season. She is excited about the opportunity to be a part of and contribute to the Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets Program that is consistently a Top 10 team in the national rankings.e GDI Prairies would like to congratulate Kim on her recent commitment and look forward to helping her progress along the way heading into next season with the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
