Iwan and Rakochy Nominated For MJHL Goaltender Of The Year Award
GDI Goaltenders Adam Iwan and Zach Rakochy were both nominated for the MJHL Goaltender of the Year Award. The one that received the award was Braeden Ostepchuk of the Selkirk Steelers. Rakochy competed in a total of 28 games to date and compiled a 19-8-0 record holding a 2.27 GAA and a .931 Save Percentage. In addition to stopping pucks Rakochy helped produce offensively for the team scoring a goal and having an assist on the year. Virden Oil Capitals goaltender Adam Iwan held a 19-12 record on the year for Virden. Staring in 31 games he totaled a 19-12 record with a 3.00 GAA. On February 19th the latest CJHL Rankings came out with Ostepchuk's Selkirk Steelers being ranked at 3rd place and Rakochy's Steinbach Pistons in 7th place.
